Job Summary:


As an Open System Specialist, you will be responsible for managing open systems within the bank to ensure smooth operations and efficient service delivery. You will collaborate with various departments to implement solutions and enhance system performance. Your role involves troubleshooting issues, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing preventive measures to minimize future incidents. Additionally, you will provide technical support and guidance to end-users and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.


Job Responsibilities

  • Implement and manage open systems within the organization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve technical issues.
  • Coordinate and perform in-place upgrades of at least 120 hosts annually in SIT/UAT environments for RHEL and Windows.
  • Ensure systems are compliant against CIS standards, fix any compliance issues.
  • Track and remediate VA and OS compliance findings.
  • Raise deviations for RHEL/Windows hosts in SIT/UAT as needed.
  • Ensure tasks are properly updated and closed within SLA.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose problems related to hardware, software, and network infrastructure.
  • Conduct root cause analysis of incidents and implement preventive measures.
  • Provide onsite and call standby support.
  • Resolve technical issues for RHEL/Windows hosts in SIT/UAT environments.
  • Process all CRQs for SIT and UAT environments.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying areas for optimization.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.
  • Develop and document IT policies and procedures.
  • Use SME inputs to create Problem Management reports (PBI).

Job Qualifications:

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology.
  • Proven experience in managing open systems.
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
  • Experience with troubleshooting and problem-solving techniques.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages such as Shell or Python.
  • Familiarity with incident management tools like ServiceNow or JIRA.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Having RHCE / Windows Server Administration Certification is preferable
