The Tender Quantity Surveyor is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, bills of quantities, and competitive tender submissions for interior fit-out projects. The role requires meticulous attention to detail, strong knowledge of finishes and joinery, and coordination with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure timely, compliant, and competitive tenders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze tender documents, including shop drawings, specifications, and client requirements.
- Conduct detailed quantity take-offs and prepare cost estimates for all interior fit-out works (e.g., partitions, ceilings, joinery, finishes, MEP coordination).
- Source, evaluate, and negotiate quotations with suppliers and subcontractors for materials, labor, and specialist trades.
- Prepare Bills of Quantities, pricing schedules, and supporting documentation for tender submissions.
- Ensure all pricing complies with contractual terms, project specifications, and relevant regulations.
- Liaise with project managers, design teams, and consultants to clarify scope and resolve queries.
- Conduct site visits, when required, to validate scope and assess site conditions.
- Maintain an up-to-date cost database, market rates, and historical pricing for interior fit-out works.
- Participate in tender review meetings and present detailed breakdowns for management approval.
- Monitor tender progress and ensure submissions are completed accurately and on time.
- Support post-tender clarifications, negotiations, and handover to project teams after award.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in quantity surveying, preferably in interior fit-out projects.
- Good knowledge of materials, finishes, and construction methods specific to interior works.
- Familiarity with local codes, regulations, and tendering procedures.
- Strong analytical, numerical, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
