We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of quantity surveying on a variety of construction projects in Singapore.

This includes cost estimation, contract administration, and project management.

The ideal candidate needs to have at least 5 years of experience in the Singapore construction industry, and be proficient in relevant software such as AutoCAD.

Responsibilities:

  • Cost Management: Preparing cost estimates and budgets for construction projects.
    Monitoring project costs and identifying potential cost overruns.
    Negotiating contracts with suppliers and subcontractors.
    Managing variations and claims.
    Preparing and managing final accounts.
  • Contract Administration: Administering construction contracts according to relevant standards and regulations.
    Ensuring compliance with contract terms and conditions.
    Managing contractual disputes and claims.
  • Project Management: Working with project teams to ensure projects are delivered successfully.
    Providing commercial and contractual advice to project stakeholders.
    Participating in project meetings and providing regular progress reports.

    Conducting feasibility studies and value engineering exercises.

Qualifications:

  • Education: A degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying or a related field (e.g., Building, Construction Management).
  • Experience: Several years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably in Singapore's construction industry. Specific experience requirements may vary depending on the seniority of the role.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with relevant construction standards and regulations (e.g., PSSCOC, LTA SDRE).
    Solid understanding of contract law and administration.
    Proficiency in relevant software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, cost estimation software).
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
    Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
    Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
