Structural Assistant Manager

Job Description

• Plan the manpower requirements to suit the committed jobs and arrange sources.
• Review and approve detailed manpower loading plan based on budget and within schedule before starting the job.
• Monitor the manpower deployment and work progress, any problems found, need to inform Hull Manager.
• Organise daily Progress and Quality meeting.
• Maintain the discipline and decorum of the section and company.
• Establish work zones and control systems for employee safety.
• Plan the priority work list for the night shift/ overtime work.
• Highlight to the Engineers/ Foremen and Supervisors’ safety matters and precautions that need to be taken for specific jobs that are to be carried out on the Vessel/Project.
• Plan and take charge of pre-fabrication of structure during the lead-time period when the Engineer/Foreman has not been appointed.
• Attend weekly progress meeting.
• Ensure to enforce proper housekeeping at workplace (Zero rubbish).

Job Requirements

• Minimum Diploma in any Engineering discipline
• At least 5 years of related work experience
• Able to assess quantity and quality of work
• Possess good leadership, planning and decision-making skills
• Possess good communication and interpersonal skills
• Possess supervisory skill to coach and motivate staff
• Able to work in a team
• Proficient in Microsoft Office

Location/Time

• Location: Tuas (Pioneer Sector 1/ Benoi/ Gul/Tuas Boulevard)
• Mon - Thur: 8am - 5.15pm
• Fri: 8am - 4.30pm
• Transport provided (selected MRT stations)
