ICSS Engineer

The FPSO ICSS Engineer will be responsible for the design, specification, installation, construction and commissioning support of Integrated Control & Safety System(ICSS) for FPSO vessel. The successful candidate will ensure that ICSS comply with design specifications, safety standards, Cybersecurity and regulatory requirements, playing a crucial role in the reliable and safe operation of the FPSO.

Responsibilities:

• Design & Specification: Develop, review, and approve Process Control, Process Shutdown, Emergency Shutdown, Fire and Gas System specification.
• Installation & Commissioning: Oversee the installation, pre-commissioning, and commissioning of ICSS, ensuring adherence to project specifications and schedules.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex ICSS , Package control system issues, including PLCs, ICSS, and SCADA systems.
• Documentation: Prepare detailed engineering documents e.g. I/O list, Cause & effect, Control narrative, production reports templates, graphics markup, and drawings related to ICSS.
• Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, operations, and ICSS supplier to integrate ICSS and support operational requirements.
• Standards & Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant industry codes and standards (e.g., ISA, IEC, API, ATEX).
• Safety & Risk Management: Participate in HAZOP, SIL assessments, safety audits, incident investigations, and risk assessments related to instrumentation integrity.
• Technology Advancement: Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in instrumentation and control.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or Control Systems Engineering or a related field.
• Relevant professional certifications (e.g., TUV Functional Safety Engineer, ISA Certified Control Systems Technician - CCST) are highly desirable.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in ICSS, preferably in the oil and gas or marine industry, specifically with FPSO or offshore facilities.
• Strong knowledge of various types of field instrumentation (pressure, temperature, flow, level transmitters).
• Proficiency in control systems including ICSS, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC).
• Familiarity with international instrumentation standards and codes (e.g., ISA, IEC 61511).
• Ability to interpret P&IDs, instrument loop diagrams, logic diagrams, and cause and effect charts.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for effective cross-functional teamwork.
• Willingness to work in Shipbuilding yard and offshore environment and adhere to strict safety protocols.
