Backend Developer

At Greenphyto, our mission is to enable food security by designing and committing to an environmentally sustainable vertical farm system where our proprietary system is capable of producing high volume of good quality vegetables in a fully automated and weather-independent environment.

Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled C# Developer with solid DevOps experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in developing scalable applications using C#/.NET and a hands-on approach to automating infrastructure and deployment processes. This role bridges software development and operational excellence to ensure smooth, efficient, and secure deployments across environments.

Key Responsibilities

Software Development

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance applications using C# and .NET Core .
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other developers to implement new features and improve existing ones.
• Write clean, scalable, and testable code following best development practices and design patterns.

DevOps Integration

• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines (preferably using GitHub Actions ) to automate builds, tests, and deployments.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and scaling using modern DevOps tools.
• Ensure high availability and system reliability through monitoring and automated recovery mechanisms.

Cloud & Infrastructure Management

• Deploy and manage applications in cloud environments (preferably AWS , but Azure/GCP experience is also considered).
• Optimize cloud infrastructure for cost-effectiveness and performance.

Team Collaboration

• Work closely with infrastructure and operations teams to align software delivery with platform needs.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.

Support & Maintenance

• Troubleshoot and resolve production incidents promptly.
• Continuously monitor application performance and implement improvements.

Requirements

Technical Skills

• Proficient in C#, .NET Core , and related frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD using tools like GitHub Actions .
• Experience with Docker and container orchestration (e.g., Docker Compose ).
• Working knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS preferred; Azure or GCP acceptable).
• Familiarity with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL , SQL Server ).
• Bonus: Experience or knowledge in Python , Redis , MQTT .

• Excellent communication skills and ability to work across teams.
• Agile mindset with a proactive and ownership-driven attitude.

Experience

• 3–5 years of experience as a C# Developer .
• At least 1–2 years of hands-on experience in DevOps practices .
