Sourcing and Negotiation: Identifying potential buyers and sellers, negotiating deals for second-hand sales, newbuild projects, and demolition opportunities Market Expertise: Providing clients with expert market intelligence, analysis, and strategic advice based on in-depth knowledge of the shipping market Relationship Management: Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, including shipowners, operators, and shipyards, and fostering new business development Deal Execution: Managing the entire transaction lifecycle, from initial inquiry to contract drafting, execution, and vessel delivery Documentation and Reporting: Preparing and maintaining accurate records of market activity, vessel positions, and financial information Communication: Effectively communicating with all parties involved, including clients, legal teams, and other stakeholders Industry Knowledge: Keeping up-to-date with industry events, news, and market trends to provide clients with informed insights Negotiation Skills: Utilizing strong negotiation skills to secure the best possible terms and prices for clients Financial Acumen: Understanding financial aspects of ship transactions, including financing options and valuations

Job Requirement Essential Skills and Qualifications:

Experience: Extensive experience in S&P shipbroking with a proven track record Industry Network: A strong network of contacts within the shipping industry Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (and potentially other languages) Negotiation Skills: Proven ability to negotiate effectively and achieve favorable outcomes Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills for market data analysis and trend identification Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve issues that may arise during transactions Client-Focused Mindset: A proactive and client-centric approach Understanding of Shipping: In-depth knowledge of ships, their functions, and the shipping industry Legal Knowledge: Understanding of the legal aspects of ship sales and contracts
