Project Title: A Practice Research Initiative to Build Integrated Counselling and Social Services (CSS) Support for Special Pass Migrants

Project Overview:
This initiative seeks to develop and evaluate an integrated Counselling and Social Services (CSS) model tailored to the needs of Special Pass migrant workers —a particularly vulnerable group often facing precarious legal, economic, and psychosocial conditions.
This project aims to develop and evaluate a practice-based model for integrated counselling and social services (CSS) for Special Pass migrant workers — a group experiencing unique psychosocial and legal vulnerabilities. Through applied research and field collaboration, the initiative seeks to generate insights to inform service delivery, intervention design, and policy recommendations.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the design and implementation of qualitative and quantitative research methods, including literature reviews, interviews, surveys, and focus group discussions.
Coordinate data collection in collaboration with partner organizations and community stakeholders.
Perform data entry collection and data analysis.
Maintain research documentation and contribute to project reports, presentations, and publications.
Assist in organizing community engagement sessions, workshops, and knowledge translation activities, if required.
Contribute to the drafting of policies, SOPs and practice guidelines derived from research findings.
Provide logistical and administrative support related to fieldwork and research eventsRequired Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Public Health, or Counselling. Postgrad or Honours students welcome.
Foundational knowledge of qualitative and/or quantitative research methods.
Strong attention to detail and good documentation practices.
Familiarity with ethics protocols, confidentiality handling, and trauma-informed research practicesDesirable Skills and Experience:
Experience working with migrant communities, NGOs, or frontline service providers.
Multilingual proficiency relevant to migrant communities (e.g., Bengali, Tamil, Burmese, Bahasa Indonesia)To apply:
