We are one of the largest one-stop Underground Utilities Infrastructure companies based in Singapore. We provide Underground Utilities Infrastructure construction and maintenance, sewer pipeline rehabilitation, road and airfield construction and maintenance as well as asphalt pre-mix production and construction waste recycling.
DESIGNATION : Project Manager
RESPONSIBILITIES
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Project Manager to assist the Project Director in overseeing various project functions including project management, site supervision, and risk control. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Deputy Director with overall project management, site supervision, risk control, and resource coordination to achieve project objectives.
- Support the planning, coordination, and execution of multiple infrastructure or utility projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and stakeholder expectations.
- Prepare master construction programs, catch-up schedules, project timelines, work schedules, budgets, and manpower plans. Monitor progress against key milestones and adjust plans as needed.
- Monitor daily project operations to ensure work progress complies with approved plans, schedules, safety regulations, and quality standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections and meetings to track construction progress, enforce safety protocols, and maintain quality control.
- Coordinate with internal teams, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and statutory bodies (e.g., LTA, SP Group) to secure necessary approvals, permits, and utility clearances.
- Implement robust cost control measures to optimize resource utilization and maintain project budgets and schedules.
- Track and manage project risks, variations, technical queries (TQs), and change requests, providing timely updates to senior leadership.
- Support procurement efforts by coordinating material and equipment requisitions and ensuring timely delivery to site.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including reports, drawings, progress photos, minutes of meetings, and compliance records.
- Evaluate subcontractor performance and manage site workforce productivity, discipline, and safety compliance.
- Communicate effectively with all project stakeholders, keeping them informed of project status, potential issues, and mitigation plans.
- Take initiative to identify and resolve site issues, propose solutions, and escalate critical concerns as necessary.
- Provide leadership and guidance to project teams, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and collaboration.
- Stay informed of relevant regulatory requirements and ensure full compliance throughout project execution.
QUALIFICATIONS
- A recognized Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an institution accredited by the Professional Engineers Board (PEB), Singapore.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in civil engineering or construction project management.
- Hands-on experience in underground utility works involving cable, water, or gas pipelines is highly advantageous.
- Strong project coordination, planning, and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Highly self-motivated, independent, and capable of working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Passionate about delivering results with a keen eye for detail and quality.
- Possession of a valid Class 2 or 3 driving license is an advantage (to support site mobility).
