Operations Manager

Job Description:

Our client is a leading construction firm with a strong track record in delivering complex infrastructure, commercial, residential, and industrial projects. They are looking for an experienced Operations Manager to join them. This person will oversee the end-to-end operations of construction projects, ensuring strategic alignment with business objectives, on-time delivery, budget compliance, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute operational strategies to support business growth and project success.
• Oversee a portfolio of construction projects from pre-construction to handover, ensuring alignment with timelines and budgets.
• Lead operational planning and resource allocation across teams and project sites.
• Ensure efficient project delivery through strong site management, construction planning, and contractor coordination.
• Oversee procurement, materials handling, and subcontractor performance.
• Monitor construction progress, resolve on-site challenges, and implement corrective actions where necessary.
• Lead, coach, and mentor project managers, engineers, and site supervisors to drive performance and accountability.
• Act as the primary liaison with clients, consultants, vendors, and government/regulatory bodies.
• Build and maintain trusted client relationships and ensure satisfaction through proactive engagement.
• Ensure adherence to project budgets and financial controls.
• Lead risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies for safety, legal, contractual, and financial exposures.
• Review and approve project-related expenditures, claims, and reports.
• Uphold strict compliance with health and safety regulations, quality standards, and environmental policies.
• Champion a safety-first culture across all project sites and operations.
Implement quality assurance processes and continuous improvement practices

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline; MBA or PMP certification is an advantage.
• At least 6 years of progressive experience in construction operations.
• Proven track record in delivering large-scale construction projects on time and within budget.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and negotiation skills.
Familiarity with construction management software (e.g., Primavera, Procore, MS Project, AutoCAD)
