Retail Sales Assistant

Job Responsibilities:

• Greet and assist customers in a polite and professional manner
  

• Provide product information and recommendations on Pondok Abang’s halal frozen food items
  

• Operate the Point of Sale cashier system and handle payments (cash, NETS, Fidyah Vouchers, CDC Vouchers) accurately
  

• Restock freezers, shelves, and maintain product displays
  

• Check and monitor product expiry dates and freezer temperatures
  

• Assist in unloading, receiving, and storing deliveries
  

• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the store at all times
  

• Follow all food safety, halal handling, and health guidelines
  

• Perform opening or closing duties as scheduled
  

• Any ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Management
  

Requirements:

• Able to communicate in English. Communication in Malay is an added advantage.
  

• Retail or F&B experience is a bonus (but not required – training will be provided)
  

• Willing to work weekends and public holidays on a roster basis with a 8am to 6pm shift
  

• Physically fit
  

• Friendly, honest, and customer-oriented
  

Must be respectful of halal food handling procedures
