Senior Application Support Specialist – Trading & Risk Systems

Responsibilities

• Provide daily application support to users across trading, risk, and operations teams.
• Act as the primary point of contact for application-related incidents, service requests, and issues.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical and functional problems across vendor and in-house systems.
• Collaborate with global teams and vendors to manage application enhancements, patches, and upgrades.
• Contribute to problem management by identifying root causes and implementing long-term solutions.
• Document support procedures and maintain knowledge bases for internal use.
• Participate in testing and change management processes for new features and deployments.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and operational procedures.

Requirements

• 4 + years of experience in application support or IT operations, preferably within a trading or financial services environment.
• Exposure to front-to-back office trading systems and an understanding of the trade lifecycle.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills across data, systems, and processes.
• Familiarity with SQL, scripting, and working in both Windows and Linux environments.
• Experience supporting vendor platforms (e.g. ETRM, risk or pricing systems) is a plus.
• Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional and cross-regional teams.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a proactive mindset towards issue resolution and continuous improvement.
