Job Summary

As a Management Trainee, you will undergo comprehensive on-the-job training to learn restaurant operations, customer service, team leadership, and administrative tasks. The goal is to groom you into a future supervisor or assistant manager role.

Key Responsibilities

Restaurant Operations

  • Learn and execute day-to-day restaurant operations (FOH/BOH)
  • Ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety standards are met
  • Assist in kitchen, service, or cashiering roles when required

Staff Supervision & Training

  • Understand staff scheduling, delegation, and team motivation
  • Learn how to lead and supervise junior staff
  • Support onboarding and training of new hires

Customer Service

  • Deliver excellent customer experience and handle complaints
  • Ensure smooth guest seating, order taking, and service flow
  • Collect and act on customer feedback for improvement

Sales & Inventory

  • Assist in inventory checks, stock ordering, and supplier coordination
  • Understand profit margins, cost control, and upselling techniques
  • Participate in daily/weekly sales reports and reconciliation

Administrative Support

  • Assist in shift reports, duty rosters, and operational checklists
  • Comply with MOM, NEA, and SFA regulations
  • Learn basic HR, payroll, and documentation processes

Progression Planning

  • Participate in performance reviews and training milestones
  • Work closely with the Restaurant Manager to identify areas for growth
  • Aim to be promoted to Supervisor / Assistant Manager in 6–12 months

Requirements

  • Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
  • Positive attitude, hands-on mindset, and leadership potential
  • Good communication skills (English, Chinese or other languages is a plus)
