Responsibilities:
- To lead the successful delivery of all M&E works and meeting or exceeding project, commercial, safety, quality, HR, environmental and community targets.
- To provide technical and project management ensuring that project activities are planned, organised and delivered.
- Identify, document, manage and mitigate project delivery risks.
- To adopt appropriate construction methods and assign resources to deliver the works within budget, time, quality and regulatory standards.
- To manage the execution of engineering, procurement and construction activities.
- Create a shared vision among the team for the project and maintain visibility across the project.
- Ensure all staff understand the project goals and communicate milestone, deliverable requirements and project status regularly.
- Drive the use of systems, practices and behaviours that promote the identification and appropriate management of potential risks and opportunities including Workplace Risk Assessments, Activity Method Statements, Task Risk Assessments, Inspection and Test Plans and Site Environmental Plans.
- Ensure site planned and setup functional and in compliance with the relevant job specifications.
- Method statements and all other relevant submissions are submitted timely and are approved by the client as and when
- required.
- Plant, equipment, material is procured, assembled and ready to use as and when required.
- Co-ordination with permanent and temporary works designers to ensure constructability.
- Monitor progress against programme & cost against budget.
- Ensure works are compliant with the specications and QA requirements including up to date records and tracking.
- Monitor TBM performance and ensure operation within allowable limits.
- Interface planning & management with M&E and civil teams including neighbouring projects.
Requirements:
- Minimum 30 years of experience in engineering works and experienced in managing tunnelling works.
- Must have experience in managing bored tunnelling works, earth pressure balance and slurry TBM bored tunnel projects.
- Experience in managing a variety of contracts.
- Must have in-depth knowledge on using AutoCAD software.
- Required to sit in meetings with Japan HQ (Japanese communication is a must).
- Willing to work in Jurong East / Clementi (LTA project).
