English Teacher

Job Description:

We are looking for a dedicated and passionate English Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep love for the English language, experience teaching the O-Level syllabus, and the patience and empathy needed to support beginners.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging, syllabus-aligned English lessons for students preparing for the O-Level examinations.
• Assess students’ strengths and weaknesses to tailor instruction for effective learning.
• Provide clear explanations and supportive guidance, especially for students with weak foundations.
• Use a variety of teaching methods and resources to make lessons interactive and enjoyable.
• Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to students and parents.
• Foster a positive, encouraging learning environment that helps students build confidence in using English.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or a related field.
• Proven experience teaching English, preferably the O-Level syllabus.
• Strong command of written and spoken English.
• Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping students at all proficiency levels succeed.
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit individual learners’ needs.

Preferred:

• Teaching certification (e.g., PGDE, CELTA, TESOL) is an advantage.
• Experience working with students aged 12–16 in Singapore’s education system.
