Senior Financial Expert

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Financial Expert to lead our financial strategy, planning, and reporting functions. This role will ensure compliance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS) and IFRS while providing strategic insights to drive business growth. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, deep expertise in financial management, and experience in the technology sector.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Analysis & Planning

• Develop and execute the company’s mid-to-long-term financial plans, ensuring alignment with business strategy.
• Lead the annual budgeting process, monitor performance against targets, and deliver periodic analytical reports.
• Build and maintain financial models to support strategic decision-making.

2. Financial Reporting & Analysis

• Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with SFRS/IFRS.
• Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, providing actionable recommendations.
• Optimize financial reporting processes for accuracy and efficiency.

3. Treasury & Capital Management

• Manage cash flow, liquidity, and working capital to ensure financial stability.
• Advise on capital allocation, investment strategies, and financing activities.
• Support fundraising initiatives, including preparation of financial models and investor materials.

4. Risk Management & Compliance

• Establish and maintain a robust financial risk management framework.
• Ensure compliance with Singapore and international financial/tax regulations.
• Strengthen internal controls to mitigate fraud and operational risks.
• Optimize tax planning strategies while maintaining full compliance.

5. Business Partnership & Decision Support

• Provide financial insights to business units, enabling data-driven decisions.
• Evaluate the financial viability of new business opportunities and investments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize costs and operational efficiency.

6. Team Leadership & Collaboration

• Mentor and develop junior finance team members.
• Foster collaboration with other departments (e.g., Operations, Tech, Legal).
• Drive process improvements and system implementations (e.g., ERP upgrades).

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• Professional certifications (CA, CPA, CFA, or equivalent) are highly preferred.

• 6+ years of progressive finance experience, including 3+ years in a senior finance leadership role.

• Background in technology (SaaS, e-commerce, or digital services) is ideal.
• Experience in multinational corporations (APAC exposure preferred).
• Involvement in fundraising, M&A, or large-scale financial transformations is a plus.

• Fluency in English and Chinese to liaise with management team and vendors.

Technical Skills

• Expertise in financial planning, analysis, and budgeting.
• In-depth knowledge of SFRS, IFRS, and Singapore tax regulations.
• Advanced financial modeling, valuation, and investment analysis skills.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and data analytics tools.
• Familiarity with risk management and internal control frameworks.
