Inspect truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, fuel, oil, water, fluids and perform pre and post trip inspections. § Responsible for the condition of truck; keep truck clean and in good working order § Inspect material to ensure it has been loaded correctly and is secure § Driver must not dig into floor of pit and contaminate material when loading truck § Driver must be able to identify materials to ensure correct product is being hauled § Driver will show professionalism, approach others in a tactful manner, react well under pressure, treat others with respect and consideration regardless of their status or position, accept responsibility for own actions, and follow through on commitments § Maintain driver log, timecards, and required paperwork § Driver must be DOT compliant at all times § Driver is responsible for setting own brakes § Driver is expected to grease their truck and trailer once a week § This job will require out of town work for a few days or a few weeks at a time § Driver must follow all MSHA and OSHA regulations § Driver must follow shop rules, keep shop clean, swept, tools picked up, and spills cleaned up while working in shop. § Driver is responsible for securing overweight loads with proper straps, chains, signage, and permits before moving load.
