School HR Executive (HRBP)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish strong partnerships with business units to drive organizational effectiveness while implementing HR programmes and initiatives.
  • Proactively identify gaps and opportunities where people-related risks can be minimized, and influence solutions and outcomes.
  • Provide advice on HR policies and procedures, including but not limited to employment legislation, talent management, performance management, recruitment, manpower planning, reward strategies, and employee engagement.
  • Develop a clear understanding of the hiring requirements of the business units and work closely with NTU’s Shared Services team to ensure the timely hiring, appointment, and reappointment of staff.
  • Act as a facilitator and HR advisor to senior leaders in managing matters relating to industrial relations, employee grievances, conduct, and discipline.
  • Advise stakeholders on policy changes and collaborate with senior leaders and HR Centres of Excellence to drive HR initiatives such as manpower planning and projections, budget planning, employee engagement surveys, people development programmes, change management plans, and performance management.
  • Depending on the eventual deployment of the units supported, the HR Business Partner may be required to supervise a small team of HR professionals.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum a degree with at least 6 years of relevant working experience in the HR function, preferably in a HR Business Partnering role
  • Good Knowledge of Employment Act and Labour Laws
  • Prior experience in an Institute of Higher Learning (IHL) would be a plus
