Job Description for: Network Engineer

- Provide operation and administration support on network and security infrastructure according to the agreed service levels

- minimum 3 years hands-on experience in configuring routers/switches (e.g., Cisco and Alcatel), firewalls (e.g. Palo Alto and Check Point), network access control (Aruba ClearPass CPPM) and intrusion detection/protection systems

- Cisco Certified Network Engineer certification, or equivalent

- Singaporean only

Job Responsibilities:

(a) Operation and administration;

(b) Network maintenance;

(c) Network configuration requirements;

(d) Network monitoring; and

(e) Reports requirements;

Network equipment includes:

(a) Routers, Switches, Hubs and Repeaters (Cisco/Alcatel);

(b) Firewalls and Intrusion Protection/Detection Systems (Palo Alto/CheckPoint);

(c) Network Access Control equipment (Aruba ClearPass CPPM);

(d) Load Balancer and Bandwidth Management equipment (F5);

(e) Media-Converters and Wireless APs; and

(f) ADSL and ISDN equipment.

Personnel must be trained and minimally be proficient in the following areas:

(a) Network technologies and protocols;

(b) Network configuration;

(c) Network utilization and performance monitoring;

(d) Network fine-tuning, incident troubleshooting, interpretation of statistics and traffic pattern;

(e) Firewall rules configuration and security setting; and

(f) IDS/IPS, CDN implementation and IPv6;
