IT Business Analyst (Banking / Technology)

We are looking for an IT Business Analyst to support delivery of technology solutions within a banking environment. This role involves working with business and technical teams to define system requirements, support implementation, and ensure alignment across the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Gather, analyse, and document functional and technical requirements for systems and applications
• Translate business needs into detailed specifications, user stories, process flows, and data mappings
• Work with developers and architects on system design, integrations, and interfaces
• Support delivery across SDLC phases including testing (SIT/UAT), defect tracking, and deployment
• Analyse business processes and map them to system capabilities
• Track changes and ensure requirements are aligned with delivered solutions

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline
• Experience as an IT Business Analyst supporting system implementation or software development projects within a banking or financial services environment
• Understanding of banking systems, applications, and technology platforms
• Ability to produce technical documentation (functional specifications, workflows, data flows, interface mappings)
• Familiar with SDLC methodologies and Agile/Scrum practices, using tools such as Jira or Confluence
• Ability to work with both business stakeholders and technical teams (developers, QA, architects)
