The international trade environment in Asia and beyond, with its varying trade rules, regulations and compliance requirements, presents an exciting and challenging career opportunity that offers great cross-border exposure. PwC Singapore’s Trade Advisory Hub develops and takes to market a wide range of “assets” that help companies deal with the ever-increasingly complex field of international trade. Such assets could deal with technical customs matters, taxation matters, or broader supply chain management matters.

A career in our Trade Advisory Hub will provide you with the opportunity to help our clients meet and manage their unique but ever-changing international trade obligations, across Asia and beyond. You will support asset development, as well as advice to clients on their global trade footprint, acting as a strategic consultant related to business analysis, research and innovation.

How will you value-add?

We are currently seeking a well-qualified Manager to grow our Trade Advisory Hub team in Singapore. You will be involved in multiple projects at a time, working closely with the Trade Advisory Hub Director in identifying, developing and taking to market new or enhanced solutions for our clients.

Roles and responsibilities:

  • Supporting the identification, development and delivery of a wide range of assets under the guidance of our Trade Advisory Hub Director.

  • Asset identification, prioritisation, development and delivery require knowledge of trade and customs regulations, including Free Trade Agreements and import and export compliance, as well as well as broader supply chain management experience. Candidates will be expected to identify and develop opportunities to improve trade efficiency and savings as well as improvements in compliance.

  • Candidates will be expected to assume a proactive role in supporting the planning and execution of asset development and delivery, business development, and other initiatives to develop and create opportunities across relevant PwC Singapore Business Units.

  • Candidates will be expected to guide and lead the more junior research and innovation staff of the Trade Advisory Hub.

About you

  • Candidates should have at least 6 years of customs and trade or supply chain professional experience in consulting or in industry.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, highly demanding and ever-changing environment.

  • Foreign language ability is a plus.

  • A desire to pursue a career in the field of international trade.
