Purpose of the Job
The Physiotherapist is responsible for assessing and providing rehabilitation interventions to improve mobility, strength, balance, and functional independence for clients in a day care or day rehabilitation setting.
Key Responsibilities
1. Client Assessment & Care Planning
- Conduct physiotherapy assessments focusing on mobility, strength,balance, and falls risk
- Develop individualised treatment plans and rehabilitation goals
- Participate in interdisciplinary assessments
2. Therapy Intervention
- Deliver physiotherapy interventions to improve mobility and physical function
- Provide gait training, strengthening, balance training, and fall prevention programmes
- Conduct individual and group exercise sessions
- Conduct training on the use of mobility aids and assistive devices
3. Programme Development
- Develop and implement physical rehabilitation and exercise programmes
- Adapt exercises based on client functional level
- Support centre-based active ageing and mobility programmes
Qualifications and Experience
- Degree/Diploma in Physiotherapy
- Registered with the relevant professional board (e.g., Allied Health Professions Council in Singapore)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Prior experience in community or eldercare settings is an advantage
