Job Summary
We are looking for a disciplined and high-energy Senior Cook to take charge of a specific station and lead our junior cooks.
Responsibilities
- Take full ownership of a designated station and maintain preparation levels to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Guide and mentor Commis Chefs and part-timers to follow recipes accurately and comply with safety protocols
- Conduct daily checks on ingredient freshness and apply FIFO (First-In, First-Out) rotation to minimize waste
- Maintain a fast working pace during peak hours while controlling food wastage effectively
- Clean and maintain the station to meet SFA "A-Grade" hygiene standards consistently
Required competencies and certifications
- Food Safety Course Level 1 certification
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience working in a commercial kitchen environment such as hotels or F&B outlets
- Strong knife skills applied to prepare ingredients efficiently and safely
- Deep knowledge of cooking techniques used to produce quality dishes under high-volume conditions
- Demonstrate a team-first attitude, punctuality, and the ability to stay calm and effective in a busy kitchen
