QHSSE Manager (West | Up to $8.5k + AWS + VB)

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the Fleet QHSSE function, ensuring alignment with company policies, statutory requirements, Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations, and Approved Codes of Practice (ACOP).
• Partner with Fleet Leaders to develop, execute, and review safety programs and processes that promote a strong safety culture and a safe working environment.
• Conduct regular and ad-hoc shipboard audits and inspections to identify hazards, risks, and non-conformities, and implement corrective measures where necessary.
• Coordinate, investigate, and report incidents, accidents, and near-misses, while liaising with internal and external stakeholders such as ship owners, insurance brokers, and government agencies.
• Review, maintain, and enhance QHSSE-related documentation, including Work Instructions (WI), Safe Work Procedures (SWP), audit records, certificates, and compliance reports.
• Ensure compliance with departmental and corporate QHSSE policies, International Safety Management (ISM) standards, SG Secure Policy, and relevant Port Marine Notices/Circulars.
• Drive safety initiatives, forums, meetings, and awareness programs to strengthen safety ownership, best practices, and engagement among internal stakeholders and marine crew.
• Monitor and analyse QHSSE performance indicators, identify trends, implement preventive actions, and lead special projects to improve fleet safety, security, and operational excellence.

Requirements

• Minimum 8 years of experience in workplace safety, health, and environmental management within maritime, marine, or shipyard operations.
• Registered MOM Workplace Safety Officer (WSO) certification is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of Singapore WSH regulations, ISO standards, and relevant international safety benchmarks and best practices.
