Job Summary
An Operations Manager oversees daily business activities to ensure efficiency, productivity, and profitability. They optimize workflows, manage budgets, lead teams, and implement strategic improvements to achieve organizational goals.
Responsibilities
- Analyze operational processes to identify inefficiencies and design improvements that increase productivity, reduce waste, and lower costs
- Coordinate cross-functional teams daily to ensure resources are available and objectives are met
- Manage departmental budgets by reviewing financial reports and aligning expenditures with revenue targets
- Recruit, train, and mentor staff while collaborating with HR to address skill gaps and sustain employee motivation
- Develop, track, and report Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to evaluate business performance and inform stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with local labor laws, safety regulations, and industry standards in all operations
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or a related field
- 3–5 years of progressive managerial or supervisory experience demonstrating success in operations or logistics
