Full-Time Senior Dance Instructor & Studio Operations Manager

We are seeking an experienced and versatile dance professional who can contribute not only as a professional dance instructor but also as a leader who can support studio growth, student retention, teacher development, events, marketing, and business operations.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys teaching, performing, mentoring, creating opportunities, managing projects, and helping to build a thriving dance community.
Key Responsibilities
Dance Instruction
Conduct group dance classes for kids, teens, and adults.
Conduct private 1-on-1 coaching sessions.
Design structured training programmes for students.
Develop choreography for performances and showcases.
Monitor student progress and retention.
Deliver a high-quality learning experience to all students.

We expect candidates to be able to teach multiple dance styles and support studio operations. This is a 6-day work week role, and candidates should be available on short notice when operationally required due to the nature of the business.
Student Growth & Business Development
Attract and recruit new students.
Retain both new and existing students.
Build and grow a private coaching clientele.
Promote studio programmes and memberships.
Support student acquisition and retention initiatives.
Create pathways for student progression.
Develop strategies to increase student engagement.
Workshops & Intensive Programmes
Conceptualise and lead monthly workshops.
Create bootcamps and intensive training programmes.
Develop premium dance experiences.
Organise showcases and performance opportunities.
Teacher Development
Assist in recruiting new instructors.
Train and mentor junior teachers.
Support teaching quality and standards.
Help develop curriculum and class structures.
Contribute to instructor onboarding and development.
Studio Operations
Support daily studio operations.
Coordinate schedules and programmes.
Ensure a high standard of customer experience.
Assist with operational planning and execution.
Support management initiatives and studio projects.
Corporate Events & Performance Projects
Manage corporate dance workshops.
Lead team-building dance experiences.
Organise flash mobs and performance activations.
Coordinate rehearsals and event logistics.
Liaise with corporate clients and event partners.
Support project execution from planning through to delivery.
Marketing & Social Media
Create dance-related content for social media platforms.
Participate in promotional videos and campaigns.
Support community engagement initiatives.
Assist with content planning and marketing activities.
Build visibility for classes, workshops, and events.
Christmas Showcase & Performance Team
The successful candidate will also play a key role in:
Planning and hosting a special Christmas Showcase Event.
Recruiting and developing a Christmas Performance Team.
Creating choreography and performance concepts.
Managing rehearsals and showcase preparation.
Supporting event execution and audience engagement.
Requirements
Essential
Minimum 2 years of professional dance teaching experience.
Strong experience teaching Heels Dance and/or Girls Style.
Ability to teach both group classes and private sessions.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Positive attitude and professional work ethic.
Ability to work independently and take initiative.
Comfortable performing at public events and showcases.
Strong organisational and leadership abilities.
Preferred
Experience managing dance programmes or studios.
Experience conducting workshops and bootcamps.
Experience training or mentoring instructors.
Experience organising dance performances.
Experience working with corporate clients.
Social media and content creation experience.
Ability to teach multiple dance styles and provide training to junior teachers.
Additional Requirements
Candidates should be prepared to:
Possess professional fluency in both English and Mandarin Chinese. This requirement is necessary as a significant portion of our student and client communications originates from Xiaohongshu (XHS), WeChat, and Mandarin-speaking customers. The successful candidate must be able to conduct consultations, communicate effectively, and deliver lessons confidently in both languages.
Conduct a practical teaching audition or demo class if shortlisted.
Provide recent dance videos, performance footage, teaching clips, choreography work, or a social media portfolio showcasing their abilities.
Be available to commence employment within June 2026 or as soon as reasonably possible.
Participate in the planning and execution of a special Christmas Showcase Event and assist in building and leading a dedicated Christmas Performance Team.
Represent our Studio professionally during classes, performances, workshops, corporate events, and promotional activities.
Working Hours
The dance, events, and entertainment industry requires flexibility.
Candidates should be comfortable working a 6-day work week, including:
Weekday evenings

Extended working hours may occasionally be required during:

Special projects
During peak periods, candidates may be required to work up to 10 hours per day when operationally necessary.
Time-off-in-lieu may be provided in accordance with company policy and operational requirements.
