Job Description – Quantity Surveyor

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, manage, and control construction project costs, including budgets, estimates, and tender documents.
  • Assist in preparing and evaluating tenders, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance with procurement regulations.
  • Administer construction contracts, including reviewing and advising on contract terms, conditions, and variations.
  • Prepare and analyze cost estimates, including quantifying materials, labor, and equipment requirements.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks and disputes related to construction projects.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and ensure compliance with project specifications.
  • Work closely with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients to ensure effective communication and project delivery.
  • Manage and negotiate changes to project scope, budget, and timeline.
  • Assist in resolving disputes and claims related to construction projects.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation related to project costs, progress, and issues.

Minimum Requirements

  • Diploma/Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of working experience in the construction industry.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Good command of English with strong written and verbal communication skills (confident in dealing with clients and suppliers).
  • Able to work independently; meticulous, analytical, and proactive with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Positive working attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Able to meet tight deadlines and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
  • 5-day work week.
