Singlife was subsequently acquired by Sumitomo Life in March 2024, one of Japan’s leading life insurers, which valued Singlife at S$4.6 billion, making the transaction one of the largest insurance deals in Southeast Asia.

Purpose of the Role

To formulate and execute strategies to drive the success of retention and growth of the sales force

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish recruitment goals and introduce measurements to determine key success factors
  • Formulate and drive initiatives for existing leaders to sustain and increase the agency strength
  • Recruitment growth for organic and inorganic new leaders and wealth managers
  • Working with the business development team to deliver and track success of the group
  • Organise and execute recruitment activities
  • Working with training department to develop and improve performance for new sales force
  • To provide clear strategy for different segmentation of potential recruits i.e. experienced agents, mid-career switch, specific industry cross-over, fresh graduates, etc.

Requirements

Experience

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Experience in either a tied insurer or financial advisory firm as sales, sales support roles will be advantageous
  • Resourceful and familiar with financing scheme available in the landscape
  • Ability to build strong relationships with people at all levels (internally and externally)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.
