BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

We are seeking an experienced and results-oriented Business Development Manager to drive business growth and expand our customer base in Singapore and the Southeast Asian region. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, and promoting the company's land transportation and logistics solutions. The ideal candidate should possess strong industry knowledge of the transportation and logistics sector in Singapore and Southeast Asia.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within the land transport, freight, warehousing, and logistics sectors.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, shippers, freight forwarders, logistics partners, and key stakeholders.
- Develop and execute sales and business development strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets.
- Analyze market trends, customer requirements, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities within Singapore
- Promote the company's transportation, distribution, warehousing, and supply chain solutions to potential clients.
- Prepare quotations, proposals, tenders, and service agreements.
- Lead commercial negotiations and contract discussions with customers and business partners.
- Collaborate with operations teams to ensure smooth service implementation and customer satisfaction.
- Participate in industry exhibitions, trade events, and networking activities.
- Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and market intelligence updates for management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transportation, Marketing, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of business development, sales, or account management experience within the transportation, logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain industry.
- Strong understanding of Singapore's land transport and logistics industry.
- Good knowledge of transportation, freight, warehousing, distribution, and supply chain operations
- Proven ability to generate new business and achieve sales targets.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and relationship management skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- This position requires regular business travel within Singapore and Southeast Asia to develop new business opportunities, meet customers, manage key accounts, and support regional business expansion.
