Assistant Investment Manager - Single Family Office

We are a fast-growing private fund managing multi-asset investments in both public and private markets.

Responsibilities:

Portfolio Analytics & Management

  • Assist in preparation & analyzing monthly portfolio performance reports and investor packs. Track and review performance of existing holdings against benchmarks and ensure alignment with investment objectives.
  • Performance management, reporting & analytics of portfolios. Update and maintain portfolio analytics database.
  • Generate comprehensive reports on portfolio performance, asset allocation, and other relevant metrics for internal use.
  • Scanning & proactive tracking of macro & micro trends in public/ private markets.
  • Conduct research and analysis on investment opportunities, conduct market research across various asset classes including equities, fixed income, private equity, and private debt. Analyze new deals and prepare investment memos as well as recommendations for investment committee and board approvals.
  • Design & prepare other ad-hoc & thematic decks for meetings.
  • Monitor performance of discretionary mandates.
  • Monitor performance of private equity funds & direct investments.
  • Public/ private markets deal due diligence & investment reporting.
  • Execute investment management strategies to optimize returns while aligning with risk tolerance and investment objectives.
  • Regularly review and rebalance portfolios to ensure alignment with changing market conditions and investment objectives.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Finance, Business, Economics or Accounting.
  • Mandatory 3 – 5 years of relevant experience in the same capacity or related roles is required.
  • Working knowledge of investment products, financial markets, investment operations, and industry regulations.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are necessary for analysing investment performance metrics, identifying trends, and conducting risk assessments. The ability to interpret complex data and generate meaningful insights is highly valuable.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills are necessary to handle multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and prioritize work effectively in a fast-paced investment operations environment
  • Problem-Solving Skills: The ability to identify operational inefficiencies, develop solutions, and implement process improvements is crucial for optimizing investment operations and enhancing efficiency.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools and familiarity with Bloomberg / other portfolio management software, python etc.
  • Detailed-oriented, high level of work quality and a team player.
  • Good written, verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated, hands-on, driven and able to work independently.
