Director, Technology (Applications, Data & Digital)

Responsibilities

• Responsible for leading the strategy, delivery and operations of all our cloud-related platforms, data centers, global networks and service delivery management
• Manage operations and modernization of the Secure Cloud platform from end-to-end, from planning to design and deployment
• Partner with technology and our transformation and capacity partners to drive vision and direction of the Secure Cloud platform, ensuring product strategy and roadmap aligns to business needs
• Drive process improvement and change management to enable efficient, stable and reliable use of the cloud
• Ensure success of the infrastructure setup and in creation of cloud data policy and governance standards
• Develop and communicate key project plans, timeframes, changes and risks, including release details and requirements to senior management and stakeholders
• Liaise with architecture team to scope requirements, design, configuration and deployment
• Support key programs in articulating their cloud strategy & enablement
• Communicate with Senior Technology and Functions management in aligning implementation and operational strategies
• Oversee and maintain technical documentation process for all releases
• Handle escalations, continually works tow making improvements in the delivery process

Requirements

• Min 10 – 12 years of experience in enterprise cloud infrastructure strategy, design and operations with a strong track record in cloud platform implementation, modernization, and cross-functional stakeholder management
• Strong and demonstrated execution skills with a proven track record of designing & implementing cloud platforms solutions
• Demonstrated experience and subject matter expertise related to enterprise cloud infrastructure including selection and implementation of SaaS services
• Prior experience with managing and developing on Kubernetes and familiarity with Containerisation technologies like docker.
• Prior experience developing holistic cloud strategies and policies for enterprise-wide applications – private, public, hybrid and multi-cloud
• Experience with architecting and implementing CI/CD pipelines
• Strategic planning and project management skills
• Relationship management skills with the ability to handle conflict and negotiations across all levels of the organisation
• Fundamental understanding of services available on leading cloud service providers (AWS, Azure, GCP), preferably certified
