Technical Delivery Manager

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Technical Delivery Manager to lead the planning and execution of large-scale data platform projects, including Data Lake, EDW, and Datamart initiatives. The role involves end-to-end delivery management, technical solution translation, stakeholder engagement, and risk/resource management for critical platform re-platforming and rollout projects.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Delivery & Program Management:

• Lead planning and execution of data platform rollout/re-platforming projects (e.g., UOBI CADR, EDAG).
• Ensure timely and quality delivery of technical solutions aligned with strategic business objectives.
• Oversee project lifecycle from initiation to closure, including project documentation and reporting.

Requirement Analysis & Solution Translation:

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and analyse requirements.
• Translate business needs into actionable project plans and technical specifications.
• Coordinate with technical teams to deliver fit-for-purpose solutions.

Stakeholder Engagement:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for business and technical stakeholders.
• Provide regular updates on project progress, manage expectations, and address concerns.

Risk & Resource Management:

• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues.
• Develop contingency plans to ensure minimal disruption to project timelines.
• Allocate and optimise resources to support project activities and team productivity.

Data Platform Expertise:

• Support solution design and delivery for Data Lake, EDW, and Datamart platforms.
• Leverage hands-on experience in managing enterprise-scale data platform initiatives.

Mandatory Skills & Experience

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in technical delivery and program/project management, with a focus on data platforms.
• Proven experience leading large-scale Data Lake, Data Warehouse, and Datamart projects.
• Strong ability in requirement analysis, solution translation, and project planning.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience in risk identification, mitigation, and resource allocation.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver projects in complex, enterprise environments.

Preferred/Advantageous Skills & Experience

• Experience with platform re-platforming or migration projects.
• Familiarity with banking or financial services data environments.
• Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, Agile).
• Strong problem-solving, leadership, and team management skills.
