Salary Range: Around SGD 250K, up to SGD 325K for strong candidates
Compensation: 12-month fixed salary + 2 months variable bonus + stock options

Role Overview

Our client is looking for a strong Solution Architect to support enterprise customers across APAC. This person will act as the technical bridge between customers, sales, product, and engineering teams.

The role requires a strong balance of technical depth and customer-facing skills. The ideal candidate should be able to understand complex data architecture, troubleshoot technical issues, lead technical discussions, and explain solutions clearly to both technical and business stakeholders.

This is a mid-senior level role suited for someone with strong experience in the big data, database, or data infrastructure ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with enterprise customers to understand their data architecture, analytics, database, and infrastructure requirements.
• Lead technical discovery, solution design, product demonstrations, and proof-of-concept engagements.
• Support pre-sales conversations by translating customer pain points into practical technical solutions.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and advise customers on performance, scalability, migration, and deployment best practices.
• Partner with sales, product, and engineering teams to ensure strong solution fit and customer success.
• Create technical proposals, architecture diagrams, solution documentation, and POC plans.
• Build trusted relationships with CTOs, data leaders, architects, engineering teams, and enterprise stakeholders.
• Support customer onboarding and adoption after the sale.
• Act as a trusted technical advisor for strategic enterprise accounts across APAC.

Requirements

• Around 8–15 years of experience in solution architecture, pre-sales, sales engineering, data architecture, database engineering, or related technical customer-facing roles.
• Strong technical background in big data, database systems, data platforms, or distributed architecture.
• Good understanding of data architecture, SQL, analytics workloads, data warehousing, real-time data processing, or OLAP systems.
• Hands-on ability to troubleshoot technical problems and guide customers through technical evaluation.
• Experience supporting enterprise customers through discovery, demo, POC, implementation, and adoption stages.
• Strong customer-facing skills with the ability to communicate complex technical topics clearly.
• Comfortable working in a fast-moving startup or scale-up environment.
• Strong stakeholder management and presentation skills.
• Mandarin and English preferred, but flexible for strong candidates.

Preferred Background

• Experience in the big data or database ecosystem, including technologies such as Kafka, Snowflake, MongoDB, ClickHouse, Apache Doris, StarRocks, Databricks, BigQuery, Redshift, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar platforms.
• Prior experience with database vendors, cloud providers, enterprise software, data infrastructure, AI infrastructure, or open-source technology companies.
• Exposure to industries such as financial services, manufacturing, internet, technology, gaming, logistics, or e-commerce.
• Regional APAC exposure would be an advantage.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is a hands-on technical professional who can go deep into data architecture and troubleshooting, while also being confident in front of customers.

They should be able to support sales conversations, run technical evaluations, lead POCs, and build trust with senior technical stakeholders. This person should have the ownership mindset to operate in a growing technology environment where the role may cover pre-sales, solutioning, customer success, and technical advisory.
