Finance Manager

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee, review and streamline core finance functions including financial accounting, management reporting, budgeting and forecasting, ensuring all activities comply with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS), local tax regulations and statutory requirements.
- Lead the preparation, review and timely submission of monthly, quarterly, half-yearly and annual financial statements and reports; conduct in-depth variance analysis, profitability reviews and trend analysis to highlight business performance, risks and improvement opportunities.
- Collaborate closely with HQ finance and regional teams on group-level statutory reporting, group consolidation, audit coordination, financial close processes, and alignment with group accounting policies and standards.
- Supervise the finance and accounting team; oversee day-to-day corporate bookkeeping, general ledger maintenance, accounts payable/receivable, fixed assets management, and ensure accuracy, completeness and timeliness of all financial records and financial statement preparation.
- Prepare and provide accurate, relevant and timely management accounting information, performance reports and financial insights to support HQ and local management in strategic decision-making, business evaluation and resource allocation.
- Manage end-to-end audit processes (internal, statutory and group audits); coordinate with HQ finance team, external auditors, tax agents and professional consultants; ensure timely resolution of audit queries and proper implementation of recommendations.
- Lead or participate in the consolidation of cross-country financial reports, intercompany eliminations, and handling of multi-jurisdictional accounting and tax matters; ensure consistency and compliance across entities.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in financial regulations, tax laws and reporting standards; implement necessary changes in processes and systems to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, internal controls, and systems efficiency; drive implementation of best practices and process enhancements.
- Perform other ad-hoc financial projects, analysis and tasks as assigned by the senior management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CA) is highly preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant working experience; with at least 3 years in a big CPA/public accounting firm. Preference will be given to candidates with experience from large, listed companies.
- In-depth, up-to-date knowledge of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS), Singapore tax regulations, GST compliance, and statutory reporting requirements.
- Proven hands-on experience in financial consolidation, cross-border reporting, and working with regional or HQ finance teams is strongly preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including formulas, pivot tables, financial modelling)
- Strong communication skills; ability to speak and write in Chinese is required for effective communication with internal stakeholders and regional teams.
- Strong leadership, team management and interpersonal skills; ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
- High level of integrity, attention to detail, and analytical thinking; able to translate financial data into actionable business insights.
