Key Responsibilities
Brokerage & Market Support: Conduct market research on vessel valuations, global market conditions, and maritime industry trends to support senior brokers and clients in strategic decision-making.
Data Management: Maintain and update accurate records of vessel specifications, market fixtures, and client data within the company’s internal databases.
Documentation Handling: Prepare, review, and manage daily documentation, contracts, and circulars to support ongoing S&P transactions.
Post-Fixture Coordination: Proactively assist in post-fixture activities, ensuring timely payments, document accuracy, compliance with regulatory standards, and smooth vessel delivery.
Stakeholder Communication: Facilitate clear, professional, and timely communication with shipowners, international brokers, internal teams, and external legal/operational parties.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional shipping teams to foster a cohesive environment and contribute to the firm's broader commercial goals.
Preferred Competencies and Qualifications
Education & Tech Savvy: Degree in Maritime Studies, Business, Finance, or a related discipline is preferred but not mandatory. Proficiency in MS Office applications is required.
Commercial Drive: Strong self-motivation, a passion for the maritime industry, and a desire to progress into a full brokerage role.
Resilience & Adaptability: Ability to thrive, pivot, and maintain focus within a fast-paced, dynamic, and high-pressure global trading environment.
Interpersonal Excellence: Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to network and establish rapport with international clients quickly.
