Network Engineer L2

As a Network Engineer L2, you will be responsible for the following :-
- Monitor and manage network infrastructure and UPS systems to ensure optimal performance and availability.
- Perform real-time network monitoring and respond promptly to alerts and incidents.
- Troubleshoot and resolve Level 2 network issues within established SLA timelines.
- Escalate complex issues to relevant teams or vendors when required.
- Track, document, and maintain incident records through the ticketing system.
- Prepare incident reports and support post-incident reviews.
- Execute scheduled preventive maintenance activities on network and UPS infrastructure.
- Perform corrective maintenance to restore services and minimize downtime.
- Coordinate with vendors and internal stakeholders during maintenance activities.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and prepare monthly preventive maintenance reports.
- Provide support for network configuration, implementation, and optimization activities.
- Execute approved network changes in accordance with change management procedures.
- Validate and document configuration changes to ensure compliance and operational stability.
- Assist in network upgrades, migrations, and deployment projects.
- Prepare and submit monthly SLA performance reports.
- Generate monthly network performance and availability reports.
- Produce monthly incident management reports and trend analysis.
- Maintain up-to-date network documentation, inventory records, and operational procedures.
The Network Engineer (L2) will support and maintain the following infrastructure:
- Routers
- Switches
- Firewalls
- IPS (Intrusion Prevention Systems)
- IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems)
- NAC (Network Access Control) Systems
- Load Balancers
- Wireless Infrastructure
- Media Converters
- UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) Systems
- Other related network devices and components
Requirements
- Minimum Diploma in IT and has fundamental knowledge in Network.
- 1 year of experience as a Network Engineer L2
- Candidates with a CCNA certification will have an added advantage.
- A strong team player with the ability to collaborate and willingness to support others.
- Have strong communications skills and ability to resolve issues or inquiries effectively.
- Able to work rotational shifts: 1st Shift (08:00 - 20:00 hours) & 2nd Shift (20:00 - 08:00 hours).
- Successful applicants for this position should be ready to work primarily at Woodlands Checkpoint. However, they may also be assigned to work at Tuas checkpoint in the future on a rotational basis.
