Cryptography Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly technical Cryptographer to research, design, and optimize the core blockchain and cryptographic systems powering our platform. This role sits at the intersection of distributed systems, applied cryptography, payments infrastructure, and financial innovation. You will work closely with engineering, product, security, and compliance teams to evaluate emerging technologies, improve protocol efficiency, and help shape the long-term technical direction of our blockchain strategy.

Responsibilities

• Research, Design, implement, and optimize cryptographic primitives / specialized utility programs.
• Develop secure, production-ready cryptographic libraries and tooling.
• Ensure correctness, security, and efficiency through benchmarking, testing, and formal validation practices.
• Design and implement ZKP algorithms and circuits across modern proving systems.
• Contribute to circuit design, constraint optimization, witness generation, and recursive proving workflows.
• Improve proving and verification performance across distributed environments.
• Stay current with emerging cryptographic research and advancements in zero-knowledge systems.
• Contribute to security reviews, smart contract risk analysis, and cryptographic design decisions.
• Partner with engineering teams to translate research into production-ready architecture and technical recommendations.

Required competencies and certifications

• Strong background in applied cryptography, computer science, mathematics, or related field.
• Experience implementing cryptographic primitives in production systems.
• Experience profiling and optimizing high-performance systems.
• Highly analytical with strong attention to correctness and security.
• Strong systems programming experience.
• Strong understanding of secure software development practices.
• Frequent collaboration with US- based team, so proficiency in the English language is a must.
• Prior experience in banking, payments, trading, or financial systems.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum five years' experience in related role.
