Job Summary

The Restaurant Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Dim Sum restaurant, ensuring excellent customer service, smooth workflow, staff supervision, and compliance with food hygiene and safety standards. The Supervisor will lead the service team, coordinate with the kitchen, and ensure a positive dining experience for all customers.

Responsibilities

Operations Management

  • Oversee daily restaurant operations to maintain smooth workflow and high service standards
  • Coordinate effectively between service and kitchen teams to ensure timely food delivery and quality
  • Monitor food quality and customer satisfaction to uphold restaurant reputation
  • Address customer enquiries, feedback, and complaints promptly and professionally
  • Ensure restaurant cleanliness and enforce compliance with hygiene and safety regulations

Staff Supervision

  • Lead, train, and motivate service staff to achieve performance targets and deliver excellent customer service
  • Develop and manage staff schedules to optimize coverage and operational efficiency
  • Track staff attendance, punctuality, and performance to maintain discipline and productivity
  • Conduct on-the-job training for new employees to ensure consistent service standards
  • Promote teamwork and foster a positive, inclusive working environment

Customer Service

  • Greet and attend to customers professionally to create a welcoming atmosphere
  • Ensure prompt and efficient service throughout operating hours to maximize customer satisfaction
  • Maintain high hospitality standards to enhance the dining experience
  • Resolve customer concerns and service issues effectively to retain customer loyalty

Cashiering & Administrative Duties

  • Supervise cashiering operations and perform daily sales reconciliation accurately
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate timely stock replenishment to avoid shortages
  • Prepare operational reports as required to support management decisions
  • Assist management in implementing company policies and procedures consistently

Food Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure strict adherence to Singapore food hygiene and workplace safety regulations
  • Monitor cleanliness of dining areas, kitchen, and service stations to maintain health standards
  • Enforce proper food handling and sanitation practices among staff to prevent contamination

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Experience in Dim Sum restaurant operations
  • Willingness to work weekends, public holidays, and shift schedules

Required competencies and certifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a supervisory role within the F&B industry
  • Good leadership and team management skills
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
