Investment Manager

Role Overview

The Investment Manager will support the origination, evaluation, execution, and management of renewable energy investments across Southeast Asia. The role will work closely with the Head of Corporate Finance to drive acquisitions, strategic investments, project financing, and partnership opportunities across the platform.

The successful candidate will combine strong transaction execution capabilities with commercial acumen and renewable energy sector knowledge, while helping to deliver new investments into the platform across Southeast Asian markets.

Key Responsibilities

 Investments & Transaction Execution

• Lead evaluation and execution workstreams for renewable energy investments including but not limited to acquisitions of greenfield and brownfield assets, joint ventures, self-development opportunities, etc.
• Build and review detailed financial models, valuation analyses, investment cases, and transaction structures.
• Coordinate and manage due diligence processes across financial, commercial, technical, legal, tax, and ESG work streams.
• Support negotiation and execution of transaction documentation and financing agreements.
• Assist in managing transaction timelines and stakeholder coordination through to completion.

 Investment Origination & Commercial Analysis

• Support sourcing and screening of investment opportunities across Southeast Asia.
• Conduct market analysis, competitor benchmarking, and strategic assessment of target markets and investment opportunities.
• Evaluate project economics, commercial risks, and portfolio value creation opportunities.
• Support preparation of investment committee papers and senior management presentations.

 Corporate Finance & Capital Raising

• Engage with lenders, investors, financial advisors, and strategic partners throughout financing processes.
• Assist with financing structuring, lender due diligence, and transaction management activities.

 Portfolio & Strategic Support

• Support portfolio monitoring, asset optimization initiatives, and strategic portfolio analysis.
• Monitor renewable energy market developments, regulatory changes, and investment trends acrossASEAN markets.
• Work closely with Business Development, Technical, Legal, and Development teams to support investment execution and project advancement.

 Team & Culture

• Contribute to building a collaborative, entrepreneurial, and execution-focused investment culture across the platform.
• Support development of junior team members through mentoring, knowledge sharing, and coaching.
• Promote strong analytical rigor, accountability, and commercial discipline within the investment team.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Accounting, or related discipline.
• At least 7 years of experience in investment banking, project finance, infrastructure investing, private equity, renewable energy, or corporate finance, including experience at an Independent Power Producer (IPP).
• Strong experience in financial modelling, valuation, and transaction execution.
• Exposure to renewable energy or infrastructure transactions preferred.
• Understanding of project finance structures, investment processes, and M&A execution.
• Strong commercial judgment and analytical capabilities.
• Ability to manage multiple transaction workstreams simultaneously.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with strong execution focus.
