Network Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a Network Engineer to join a high-performing infrastructure team responsible for supporting and maintaining enterprise network environments. This is an excellent opportunity to work with leading networking, security, wireless, and monitoring technologies while gaining exposure to large-scale production environments.

You will play a key role in ensuring network availability, performance, and security through proactive support, troubleshooting, maintenance, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide onsite support for enterprise network infrastructure and related technologies.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network incidents, connectivity issues, and performance bottlenecks.
• Configure, maintain, and support Cisco Catalyst (IOS), Cisco Nexus (NX-OS), and Alcatel-Lucent switching environments.
• Administer and support Palo Alto and Fortinet FortiGate firewalls.
• Support and maintain enterprise wireless environments, including Alcatel-Lucent Wireless Controllers.
• Monitor network health, performance, and availability using SolarWinds NPM and NCM.
• Manage network access control policies through ClearPass Policy Manager.
• Perform network patching, upgrades, preventive maintenance, and health checks.
• Maintain accurate asset inventory, network documentation, and operational records.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, vendors, and support teams to ensure timely incident resolution and service delivery.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance network reliability, security, and operational efficiency.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience supporting enterprise network environments.
• Experience supporting Cisco Catalyst (IOS), Cisco Nexus (NX-OS), and/or Alcatel-Lucent switching platforms.
• Hands-on experience with Palo Alto firewalls.
• Experience supporting enterprise wireless networks and wireless controllers.
• Familiarity with SolarWinds NPM/NCM and network monitoring tools.
• Experience with ClearPass or similar network access control solutions.
• Good understanding of routing, switching, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and network security concepts.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Fortinet, Check Point, Cisco ASA, or other enterprise firewall platforms.
• Knowledge of VPN technologies and secure remote access solutions.
• Understanding of network segmentation, micro-segmentation, and Zero Trust principles.
• Exposure to IDS/IPS technologies and enterprise security environments.
