About the Company

A global industrial solutions organisation is seeking a high-impact commercial leader to drive growth across Southeast Asia. This is a strategic leadership role responsible for accelerating revenue, expanding market presence, and strengthening channel and customer partnerships across diverse and fast-evolving markets in the region. The ideal candidate is a commercially driven leader with strong experience in industrial or engineered products, a proven ability to scale businesses across Asia, and the agility to operate effectively in multicultural, cross-border environments.

Role & Responsibilities

1. Regional Growth & Commercial Strategy

  • Lead the development and execution of Southeast Asia commercial strategies aligned with broader APAC objectives.
  • Identify and capture new business opportunities to drive revenue expansion and market share growth.
  • Develop, manage, and optimise distributor and channel partner networks across the region.
  • Analyse market dynamics, competitor activity, and customer insights to continuously refine go-to-market approach.
  • Own regional P&L, including forecasting, budgeting, and margin optimisation.

2. Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead and develop a diverse, multi-country commercial team across Southeast Asia.
  • Set clear performance expectations, KPIs, and accountability frameworks to drive high performance.
  • Build leadership capability within the team and strengthen succession pipelines for future growth.

3. Customer & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build and sustain strong relationships with key enterprise customers, distributors, and strategic partners.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Product, Operations, Service) to ensure strong execution and customer experience.
  • Represent the organisation in key industry forums, customer engagements, and commercial negotiations.

4. Governance & Risk Management

  • Ensure compliance with local regulations, trade requirements, and internal governance standards across all markets.
  • Proactively manage commercial, contractual, and operational risks related to regional expansion.

Key Requirements

  • Degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related discipline; MBA is an advantage.
  • 10+ years of commercial leadership experience, including senior regional or multi-country responsibility.
  • Strong track record in driving growth within industrial, engineering, or B2B sectors.
  • Deep understanding of Southeast Asian distribution models and market dynamics.
  • Strong P&L ownership experience with strategic and analytical capability.
  • Effective communicator with strong cultural intelligence and stakeholder management skills.
