As the Senior Demand Planning Manager, SEA and India, you will play a critical leadership role in driving demand planning excellence across Southeast Asia and India for the full Medtronic portfolio. Based in Singapore as part of the Eurasia Demand Planning structure, this role will lead a team of planners and analysts and partner closely with commercial, finance, supply chain, customer care, and global demand planning teams.

This role is responsible for developing and improving a high-quality, consensus demand plan across the 0–36 month planning horizon. You will help ensure reliable product availability, support patient access, improve forecast quality, and enable informed business decisions across a dynamic, multi-country region. The ideal candidate will bring strong demand planning expertise, commercial acumen, analytical capability, and the ability to influence across a matrixed regional organization. This role requires a leader who can challenge assumptions, translate market intelligence into actionable demand insights, and build strong relationships with senior leaders across functions.

This position is a Flexible Work Arrangement based in Singapore and may require approximately 10–20% travel within Southeast Asia and India.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • Lead the end-to-end demand planning process across Southeast Asia and India, ensuring accurate, timely, and consensus-driven demand plans across the 0–36 month horizon.

  • Manage, coach, and develop a team of approximately six demand planners and analysts, building capability, accountability, and planning discipline across the team.

  • Partner with Country Leaders, Sales, Marketing, Finance, Supply Planning, Customer Care, Global Demand Planning, and senior regional leaders to align on demand assumptions, risks, opportunities, and business priorities.

  • Lead and support regional demand reviews, S&OP/IBP processes, and cross-functional planning discussions to align commercial plans, financial expectations, supply plans, and patient/customer needs.

  • Drive improvement in key demand planning metrics, including forecast accuracy, forecast bias, and forecast value add.

  • Analyze sales trends, demand drivers, market dynamics, tender activity, customer ordering patterns, product lifecycle changes, and commercial inputs to develop robust demand plans.

  • Lead scenario planning to evaluate demand risks and opportunities, including upside/downside demand, tender outcomes, customer ordering shifts, new product launches, product transitions, and market volatility.

  • Support new product introductions, phase-in/phase-out planning, and key regional business events by ensuring demand assumptions are clearly defined, documented, and aligned across stakeholders.

  • Challenge submitted forecasts and commercial assumptions in a constructive, data-driven manner to improve forecast quality and business alignment.

  • Translate planning outputs and demand signals into actionable insights that support supply planning, inventory management, service performance, and regional decision-making.

  • Identify root causes of forecast variation and partner cross-functionally to implement corrective actions and continuous improvement opportunities.

  • Represent the region in Eurasia, APAC, and global demand planning forums as needed.

  • Promote process standardization, planning excellence, and adoption of demand planning best practices across the region.

  • Ensure demand plans support reliable product availability, customer service, inventory health, financial performance, and Medtronic’s commitment to improving patient outcomes.

Required Knowledge and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in demand planning, forecasting, supply chain planning, commercial planning, or related business planning roles.

  • Experience leading demand planning processes, including demand reviews, S&OP, IBP, or equivalent cross-functional planning forums.

  • Demonstrated experience analyzing demand trends, forecast performance, customer ordering behavior, business risks, and commercial inputs.

  • Strong understanding of forecast accuracy, forecast bias, forecast value add, and demand planning performance management.

  • Experience leading, coaching, mentoring, or developing planners, analysts, or cross-functional teams.

  • Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate across a matrixed organization, including Commercial, Finance, Supply Chain, Customer Care, and senior regional leaders.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate analytical insights into clear business recommendations.

  • Strong business judgment, problem-solving skills, and ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, complex regional environment.

  • Experience with advanced analytics, statistical forecasting, scenario planning, or demand sensing approaches.

  • Good to have APICS CPIM, CSCP, IBF, or equivalent supply chain/planning certification.
