Programme Assistant (CareElderly)

Care Community Services Society (CCSS) is a social service agency dedicated to empowering and enriching lives through community-based support. We serve seniors, children, youths and families, building a caring and inclusive community.

Position Summary

The Programme Assistant supports the implementation and day-to-day operations of CareElderly programmes and services. This role plays a key part in enhancing the well-being of seniors through programme delivery, community engagement, and administrative support.

Key Responsibilities

Programme Support & Implementation

  • Assist in planning and conducting activities and programmes for seniors
  • Support coordination and supervision of daily centre activities
  • Facilitate group engagement initiatives, including mutual help groups
  • Maintain updated records of seniors within the service community

Community & Client Engagement

  • Build rapport with seniors and monitor their well-being
  • Conduct home visits and basic assessments to understand care needs
  • Support follow-up actions and ensure proper documentation of cases
  • Respond to walk-in and telephone enquiries

Volunteer & Community Development

  • Coordinate and mobilise volunteers to support programmes
  • Maintain volunteer records and schedules
  • Establish partnerships with community organisations and service providers

Programme Monitoring & Evaluation

  • Collect programme data and assist in reporting and evaluation
  • Maintain proper documentation for accountability and reporting purposes

Administrative & Operational Support

  • Provide general administrative support (filing, data entry, records management)
  • Maintain inventory and coordinate maintenance of facilities and equipment
  • Assist in simple bookkeeping and financial tracking
  • Support preparation of reports, budgets, and programme documentation

Care & Compliance

  • Ensure safe and quality delivery of care services
  • Support care plans in line with beneficiaries’ expressed wishes (e.g. ACP, LPA)
  • Adhere to organisational and industry standards

Requirements

  • Minimum GCE ‘O’ Level or equivalent
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Passion for working with seniors, especially vulnerable and lower-income groups
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills
  • Self-motivated, organised, and able to work independently
