Associate (Foreign Law)

RCLT LAW CORPORATION

RCLT Law Corporation is a boutique dispute resolution firm. We act for an international clientele on disputes that frequently cross borders, and we are looking to bring an Associate (Foreign Law) into our team.

The work is varied and intellectually demanding, and much of it carries a strong international dimension. You would focus on international commercial arbitration and cross-border commercial disputes, as well as the foreign-law and multi-jurisdictional aspects of matters touching on directors' duties, shareholder remedies, private client conflicts, M&A and corporate and commercial matters. You would work closely with our partners and Singapore-qualified lawyers, bringing the international and foreign-law perspective that our clients increasingly require.

In this role, you will:

  • Work on international arbitration and cross-border commercial disputes, from strategy through to resolution.
  • Advise on the foreign-law and multi-jurisdictional dimensions of our matters, alongside our Singapore-qualified team.
  • Engage directly with clients across the region and beyond, often across different languages and legal cultures.
  • Take ownership of your work, think on your feet, and uphold the high ethical and professional standards our practice is built on.

Requirements:

  • Qualified to practise law in your home jurisdiction, with up to 3 years of post-qualification experience.
  • Some exposure to international arbitration or cross-border corporate and commercial matters disputes.
  • Strong analytical skills and sound legal judgment.
  • A confident communicator who works well within a small, collaborative team.
  • Driven, growth-oriented, and takes pride in the quality of their work.
  • Proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia, Malay or Mandarin Chinese is essential as our practice is regional, and the ideal candidate must be conversant in either of these languages for client communication.

We welcome applications from all qualified candidates and will consider every applicant fairly on the merits of their experience and ability. Only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
