Team Leadership & Mentorship

  • Training & Development: Identify knowledge gaps and organize on-the-job training or mentorship programs for junior and senior technicians.
  • Task Delegation: Allocate repair and maintenance tasks fairly based on technician skill sets, project priorities, and deadlines.

2. Operations & Project Management

  • Work Progress Monitoring: Track daily activities to ensure jobs are completed on schedule, within budget, and to standard.
  • Quality Control: Conduct routine inspections on ongoing projects and sign off on completed work orders.
  • Troubleshooting: Act as the highest-tier technical escalation point to assist technicians with complex machinery, hardware, or software issues. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6]

3. Safety & Compliance

  • Safety Protocols: Enforce workplace safety and security standards (e.g., OSHA regulations) and investigate the causes of any safety breaches. [1, 2]
  • Equipment Maintenance: Ensure that all company tools, testing equipment, and service vehicles are regularly inspected, safe, and calibrated. [1, 2]

4. Administrative & Inventory Control

  • Reporting: Prepare analytical reports detailing equipment functionality, maintenance metrics, and team productivity.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor spare parts, specialized tools, and supply levels, requesting new purchases when stock is depleted.
  • Documentation: Ensure all repairs, hardware installations, and equipment maintenance logs are accurately documented
