About FOMO Pay
FOMO Pay is a MAS-licensed Major Payment Institution and a member of FOMO Group, which also includes CapBridge and 1Exchange. Our iBiz division serves licensed financial intermediaries, family offices, fund managers, and corporate clients across Singapore and the region — providing regulated payment infrastructure, cross-border remittance, and multi-currency account solutions.
Role Overview
As a BD Intern on the iBiz team, you will work directly with the BD Director and senior relationship managers to build and qualify a pipeline of potential clients. You will research target segments, identify decision-makers, support outreach campaigns, and help convert referral and direct leads into onboarding opportunities. This is a high-exposure, execution-focused role with real client interaction.
What You Will Do
1. Lead Sourcing & Pipeline Building
• Research and identify prospective clients across target segments: family offices, fund managers, licensed financial intermediaries (LFIs), corporate treasuries, advertising agencies, trading/import/export, ecommerce, and crypto/Web3 firms
• Map referral networks including accountants, corporate secretaries, lawyers, MAS-licensed fund administrators, and introducers
• Maintain and update the BD CRM with accurate lead data, contact details, and engagement status
• Source leads through LinkedIn, industry databases (e.g. MAS FSP Register, ACRA), events, and partner referrals
• Going to events, networking sessions, approach potential leads or referral opportunities.
2. Outreach & Client Engagement
• Draft and send personalised outreach messages (email, LinkedIn) under BD guidance
• Under the guidance of BD director, support scheduling of introductory calls and follow-up meetings between potential leads and the assigned BD. Update the assigned BD the status of the leads, so BD can provide with potential solutions.
• Assist in responding to initial client enquiries and FAQs about FOMO Pay's iBiz services
• Follow up with warm leads proactively to maintain engagement and momentum in the pipeline — including sending updates, sharing relevant content, and checking in at key touchpoints
3. Market Intelligence
• Track competitor offerings, new market entrants, and regulatory developments (MAS, PSA, MSO, MSB, VARA, VASP etc.)
• Data compilation: Compile weekly lead reports and BD activity summaries for the Director based on the CRM table
• Support analysis of conversion rates, segment performance, and referral channel effectiveness
