Document Controller

A Document Controller is responsible for managing, organizing, tracking, and maintaining project and company documents to ensure accuracy, accessibility, compliance, and version control throughout the document lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and control all project and company documentation in accordance with established procedures.
  • Receive, register, distribute, track, and archive incoming and outgoing documents.
  • Ensure proper document numbering, revision control, and document status updates.
  • Maintain document registers, transmittal logs, and filing systems.
  • Coordinate document submissions to clients, consultants, vendors, and subcontractors.
  • Monitor document review and approval workflows to ensure timely responses.
  • Ensure all records are stored securely and remain easily retrievable.
  • Prepare document transmittals, reports, and document control metrics.
  • Support project teams in managing drawings, specifications, procedures, and technical documentation.
  • Conduct periodic audits to ensure compliance with document control requirements.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive company and project information.
  • Assist in compiling handover dossiers, as-built documentation, and final project records.
