IT Intern - Buona Vista

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and technology-driven IoT Intern to support the development, testing, installation, and maintenance of smart home and home automation solutions. The intern will gain hands-on experience in Internet of Things (IoT) technologies, smart devices, automation systems, networking, and software integration within a real-world environment.

This internship is ideal for students pursuing studies in Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Information Technology, Mechatronics, or related disciplines.

Key Responsibilities

IoT Device Configuration & Testing

• Assist in configuring and testing smart home devices such as:Smart lighting systemsSmart switches and socketsSmart sensors (motion, temperature, humidity, door/window)Smart cameras and security systemsSmart locks and access control systems
• Perform functionality testing and troubleshooting of IoT devices.
• Document testing results and report issues to supervisors.

Home Automation System Support

• Assist in setting up and integrating home automation platforms.
• Support device pairing and connectivity using Wi-Fi, Zigbee, Z-Wave, Bluetooth, and other communication protocols.
• Help monitor and maintain automation systems.
• Assist in implementing automation scenarios and routines.

Software & Application Support

• Test mobile applications and web dashboards used for smart home management.
• Assist in debugging connectivity and software-related issues.
• Support firmware updates and software upgrades for IoT devices.
• Help create user guides and technical documentation.

Installation & Technical Support

• Assist engineers during on-site installations and commissioning.
• Support cable management and device setup.
• Participate in system inspections and preventive maintenance.
• Help resolve customer technical issues under supervision.

Data Monitoring & Analytics

• Assist in collecting and analysing sensor data.
• Monitor device performance and network connectivity.
• Prepare reports on system performance and operational efficiency.

Research & Development

• Research emerging smart home technologies and IoT trends.
• Evaluate new IoT products and automation solutions.
• Assist in prototype development and proof-of-concept projects.

Requirements

Education

Technical Skills
