We are seeking a highly experienced corporate security professional with a global mindset to oversee our sites in the APAC region. The APAC Physical Security Senior Manager will be responsible for developing and guiding the region’s physical security standards and best practices across all of our APAC offices. This position will oversee our regional security managers and their teams, collaborate across other regions to deliver initiatives that will mature Lam’s physical security operations globally, and build rapport across multiple business units and stakeholders. The day to day will be both, tactical and strategic, inclusive of operations, administrative duties, and people management. To be successful in this position and create cohesion across teams, the ideal candidate will travel frequently across the region. This role will require previous experience managing a multi-site team, understanding corporate priorities and how to incorporate them into a regional space, knowledge of physical security best practices inclusive of physical asset protection, executive protection, intellectual property protection, and investigative experience. The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader with a proven track record in the security field, and a solid people manager who can help mature both the team and the global program. This position will report to the Senior Director of Global Security, and will be based in either Singapore or Malaysia, contingent on our top selection.

What you’ll do

  • Provide strategic & operational leadership to all Lam sites within the region & ensure execution at all levels of APAC team
  • Support day-to-day regional security operations including access control, surveillance systems, security incident management & security force performance
  • Optimize the relationship between regions and the wider physical security team ensuring each office’s maturity follows a global “best practice” standard
  • Develop & maintain physical security guidance & processes, standardize and support regular and ongoing site assessments to identify threats & vulnerabilities
  • Drive physical & cyber convergence opportunities and be curious about the AI revolution and bring initiatives to implement AI into program
  • Manage investigations related to physical theft or misconduct, unauthorized access, or other security events; provide support to other teams’ investigations and be an active participant in cross-functional incidents
  • Partner with HR, Legal, and leadership for sensitive/high risk cases
  • Coach/mentor team on investigative principles, inclusive of root cause analysis, interview techniques, report writing (both operational and executive) and regional managers by providing oversight, constructive feedback and building clear pathways for a mature program that follows global best practices
  • Collaborate with Lam’s security technology team on new install designs, maintenance needs, and/or programming requirements in the region, to include evaluation of new technologies
  • Work closely with other program leaders within the team to ensure decisions are collaborative, receive strategic alignment and create an inclusive team environment
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders across departments to advance security culture
  • Develop KPIs, metrics, and reporting dashboards to measure program effectiveness
  • Design and implement security trainings in collaboration with stakeholders

Who we’re looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field required with more than 12+ years of experience in a corporate security related field & more than 5+ years of experience leading teams in multiple locations
  • Experience in leading and collaborating with in-person and remote teams
  • Experience in creating a global and consistent standard across sites
  • Ability to build rapport with and influence cross-functional teams
  • Deep knowledge of physical security best practices and performance metrics
  • Direct experience in leading complex physical security investigations
  • Capability to communicate effectively at a leadership level both verbally and in writing
  • Strong organizational and decision-making skills
  • Proficiency in common security applications and a strong bias towards learning AI tools
  • Ability to deliver on multiple, simultaneous priorities in a fast‑paced, and sometimes ambiguous setting
  • Willingness to travel within the region on a frequent basis

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
