Assistant Project Manager

Role summary
- Support the Project Manager in planning, organising, and coordinating from initiation through to successful delivery
- Act as a key coordination point between clients, subcontractors, site teams, and internal stakeholders across all project phases
- Maintain project documentation, monitor progress, and flag risks to keep projects on schedule and within budget
- Champion health, safety, and environmental compliance on-site and contribute to continuous improvement of project management practices
Key duties
- Assist the Project Manager in planning, organising, and coordinating all aspects of project delivery
- Monitor project progress, identify issues early, and implement timely resolutions to maintain schedule and budget
- Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders to facilitate clear communication and effective collaboration
- Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation including schedules, progress reports, and financial records
- Oversee site supervisors, tradespeople, and project team members to ensure work meets project standards and timelines
- Support implementation of and adherence to health, safety, and environmental policies across all project activities
- Recommend enhancements to project management processes as part of continuous improvement initiatives
- Manage competing priorities under pressure while maintaining high attention to detail
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field
- Minimum 3 years' proven experience in Project Management, preferably in the Energy, Offshore, or Marine Navigation Systems Sector
- Strong organisational and multitasking skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; effective across cross-functional and client-facing teams
- Proficiency in project management tools and software
- Sound knowledge of quality procedures and relevant regulations
- PMP or equivalent project management certification is an advantage
